24 hours in Paris

Paris, a city full of culture, there is so much to explore. With only a flying visit to the chic French capital I tried to fit in as much as possible!

Travelling on the Eurostar from Kings Cross St. Pancras to Paris Gare du Nord, taking only two hours the journey is extremely fast and easy. Click here to book your trip on the Eurostar!

Staying in the Hotel San Regis Paris it is an exceptionally charming hotel located in the heart of central Paris. Surrounded by luxury boutiques and stylish Parisian cafés, including the iconic Dior flagship store on Avenue Montaigne. The hotel oozes elegance and history, I highly recommend staying at the San Regis.

The shopping in Paris has been huge since the 19th century it has a diverse array of shops, from department stores, designer boutiques, markets and high street brands. I had a few places in mind that I just had to stop by on my trip.

The famous Galleries Lafayette holds a huge range of brands to fit every budget. With Art Nouveau architecture and a panoramic view of Paris, this department store has become a huge tourist attraction!

31 Rue Cambon is an extremely well-known address amongst fashion addicts, it is where Gabrielle (coco) Chanel opened her first store in 1918. Situated in one of the most fashionable districts in Paris, Chanel soon after acquired several other buildings on Rue Cambon and by 1927 Chanel occupied numbers 23-31.

Ladurée is a world famous Parisian salon de thé, situated along the Champs Elysées. The mixture of elegance and sweetness is divine and of course everyone visits for their popular macarons!

L’avenue restaurant has become a hotspot for celebrities, being just down the road from the San Regis I had to see what all the fuss was about. With stylish minimal decor, gorgeous views of Paris and the Eiffel Tower, although it was a little pricey I have to say I did enjoy it!

For any Gossip Girl fans Café de Flore is the place to go! Sit and dine like Blair and Serena and relish in a tasty traditional French breakfast, with the best coffee I have had in a while (excluding a salted caramel latte from Starbucks!)

The Moulin Rouge (the red mill) is a world-renowned cabaret show. Situated in the district of Pigalle it is best known as the birthplace for the can-can! Booking the VIP experience you are able to avoid the queue, be seated in a private balcony with the most amazing view of the show, indulge in a delicious three course meal with extras in between and enjoy ever-flowing champagne throughout the evening! The VIP experience is 100% worth paying for and I would happily visit again. Book your Moulin Rouge experience here .

The best place to view the Eiffel Tower to avoid the crowds of tourists is the address 225 Rue de l’université. You can look up at the stunning monument in-between the Art Nouveau Parisian buildings and watch the light show in awe.

Les Musée des Arts Décoratifs is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the House of Dior by holding a huge exhibition ‘Christian Dior, couturier du rêve.’ This was the reason for my quick visit to Paris and I am so glad I managed to see this stunning exhibition before it closes on the 7th January 2018. With over 300 haute couture gowns from 1947 to now, the exhibition is a lavish, inspirational, magical voyage of designs from the icon and founder Christian Dior to Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons and, most recently, Maria Grazia Chiuri. I recommend purchasing tickets for a time slot in advance to this exhibition, book yours here!

Around the corner from the Musée des Art Décoratifs is the acclaimed museum Louvre. Of course it was a quick photo stop, unfortunately there was no time to visit inside so I will just have to go back!
