Surrounded by an immeasurable amount of desert land, the shimmering strip of Las Vegas stands out from above the clouds.
Overwhelmed to be in the 24 hour city, I was mesmerised by the brilliance of Las Vegas. The city truly comes alive at night, the shimmering neon lights illuminate the strip, with a buzzing atmosphere the city promises entertainment and excitement.
Staying in the Bellagio, famous for it’s magical fountains it was very central, directly opposite The Paris hotel & casino and neighbour to some of Las Vegas’ most famous hotels; Ceasars Palace, The cosmopolitan and The Venetian.
Every hotel contains a casino, shops and restaurants.
Just a few hours away from Las Vegas in the state of Arizona is Grand Canyon National Park, home to the colossal Grand Canyon and considered one of the seven wonders of the world it was a must for the agenda. Having a guided day tour with Detours of the West the day included the Mojave Desert, a close look at Joshua Trees, The Hoover Dam and of course the main event; which gave stunning views of the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, as well as a helicopter ride descending in to the Grand Canyon, and a short boat ride on the Colorado River. The tour was exceptionally informative, an incredible experience I will not forget.
There is a huge mixture of cuisine in Las Vegas, you are spoilt for choice! Of course being in America I had to have a greasy Hamburger. Holsteins is a funky burger joint in The cosmopolitan, it was delicious, the perfect place for my burger fix.
Todd English’s Olives is a Mediterranean restaurant in The Bellagio hotel, with a view of lake Bellagio, it was a gorgeous meal.

Top Golf is a driving range where anyone can play, hit golf balls in to round target nets and score points for your team. You can also order food and drink which get brought to you whilst you play. It is a lovely fun activity for an evening in Las Vegas!
Shopping in Las Vegas is a totally different experience than anywhere I have ever been. Personally the best places to go are The Forum shops at Caesars Palace, Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian|Palazzo, Fashion show mall located right on the strip and Via Bellagio. You also have the option of the North and South Premium outlets to nab those deals in shops you love!
The entertainment in Las Vegas is non-stop. With 24 hour casino’s, pool parties, exclusive nightclubs and nightly shows.
The Hyde is a nightclub in the Bellagio, you can dance the night away whilst watching the amazing Fountains of Bellagio. The group I went with was rather large so we decided to book a booth, thanks to kingofsin.com we were placed on the terrace outside with the best seat in the house to party and enjoy the fountains!
Pool parties seem to be part of the culture in Vegas, a very well known one is Wet Republic hosted by MGM. Bathe in the sun and water and dance all day long!
Cirque du Soleil have shows that run all year long in Las Vegas, one of their shows is the Michael Jackson ONE. A unification of dance and acrobatics, an amazing tribute to the King of Pop!
