Trend Report: White Jeans

White denim is a very cool and stylish trend which is apt for this hot/humid weather. It is regarded as a very versatile and handy piece of clothing which could get easily dirty, however, if styled properly, will always tend to look extremely chic. This item has become a trending product in many stores like Topshop, with leading fashion bloggers and stylish individuals like Alexa Chung making this color very popular. Several celebrities are also making this trend even more prevalent with Bella Hadid’s all white ensemble and street style looks, in addition to Reese Witherspoon’s and Vanessa Hudgens’ outfits.

In this article we will be providing you with some up-to-the-minute white-denim guidance that you can follow.

The first advice we can provide is to pair your simple white jeans with some exciting details. An embellished stretch-knit sweater slashed at the shoulder and hem by Versus Versace is an example, with a white Crop Fringe mid-rise straight-leg jeans by 3X1, and Alexander McQueen’s Embroidered floral multicolored printed leather Chelsea boots. This could be topped off with a Prada petal-pink textured-leather tote.

A simple outfit could also be adjusted by a well cut and flattering T-Shirt, some statement earrings and an iconic leather jacket. Rag & Bone’s cotton jersey T-shirt with J BRAND’S Ivy cropped high-rise straight-leg jeans could do. We’re also loving Y/PROJECT’S cutout leather biker jacket, with some minimal Mizuki hoop earrings and a Mark Cross small textured-leather shoulder bag to complete the look.

When it comes to white jeans, the looser the jeans, the better and the more the neutrals, the even better.  An example is Stella McCartney’s slim boyfriend jeans, with Burberry’s white T-shirt, and a pair of blush glossed-leather flats by Lanvin. Break the outfit with a bronze classic zap leather belt by Etoile Isabel Marant, and Valentino’s gold leather metallic leather pouch.

Another tip you could follow is adding one statement item to your look. Let’s go for a pair of denim inspired by ‘90s supermodel styles with Madewell’s perfect summer cropped high-rise straight-leg jeans. Add a simple black wool, silk and cashmere-blend turtleneck sweater by Chloé and Gucci’s statement appliqued metallic lilac textured-leather bomber jacket to transform your outfit, and finally Converse’s ‘Chuck Taylor All Star’ denim sneakers embroidered with daisies, to complete the look.

Another tip we can provide is going for a pair of J Brand’s white denim ‘Ivy’ jeans which sits high on the waist and finishes with a flattering straight leg. Highlight the cropped length with a pair of printed leather elevated pool slides by Dolce & Gabbana, a light blue denim Chambray Shirt by Madewell, and a navy blue Jimmy Choo Arrow textured-leather shoulder bag.

Ripped jeans are also always very trendy. An example is Frame’s Le Skinny de Jeanne distressed mid-rise jeans along with Gucci’s iconic Printed tie-dyed cotton-jersey T-shirt, a pair of Croc-effect black leather loafers by Loewe and a red wine circle two-tone leather and suede clutch by Diane Von Furstenberg. Complete the outfit with some Florentine 18-karat gold hoop earrings by Carolina Bucci.

Finally, frayed hem jeans are also in this season such as Michael Michael Kors’ Frayed cropped mid-rise straight-leg jeans. Complement the outfit with a blue and white off-the-shoulder ruffled striped cotton-poplin top, Valentino’s rock-stud black leather slides, and a navy mini suede bucket bag by Mansur Garviel.
